Winter graduation celebrations are coming up soon! GMU Winter Commencement is Thursday, December 18th, 2025, at 9:30am in EagleBank Arena. The graduation ceremony will include a degree conferral by the University President, remarks from the Commencement speaker and the class of 2025 student speaker, music by the GMU Wind Symphony. If your student is graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree, your student will not be individually recognized and do not cross the stage during this ceremony. However, there will be individual degree celebrations where your student will cross the stage individually. Doctoral candidates will be individually recognized and hooded during the Commencement ceremony.
All registered graduates received two emails with the subject “Register for your ceremony,” one email is for commencement tickets, and one is for degree celebration tickets.
